Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actor most famously known for her part as Bo in the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk, who was a well-known actor, director, producer, playwright, educator and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of the earliest moments of her life, including taking part in rehearsals of plays. Silk played a role as a young actress in commercials. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she discovered in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop. In 2009, the couple were married civilly in December 2009. They renewed their vows on April 10th, 2011 in Fredericton in the aftermath of Silk's changed her religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born child on the 13th of May 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk became pregnant during production of the season's third finale episode. The news was announced to fans of the series in an episode of the Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season and on June 20, 2013 Silk tweeted that she was ready to return to the set of the show. CNN's Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved TV Couples.
