Allison Brooks Janney is an American actor born on November 19, 1959. Through the years her work has earned her high praise both on the screen and on the stage. Janney was honored with numerous awards, including one Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. She has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards were also presented to her. She also won two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was born in Boston, and raised in Dayton (Ohio). The Kenyon College graduation earned her a scholarship for The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney began her TV debut during 1999. She was C. J. Cregg as part of NBC's political series The West Wing from 1999-2006, where she received Four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was awarded an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actor in a Drama Series, after her performance as Margaret Scully on the Showtime series Masters of Sex.
